Hi Kevin, great post, I am always looking for info about supplements to avoid wasting money on ineffective products.

I am wondering if you ever tried Udo's Oil 3-6-9 Blend? My wife and I use it because she has a severe allergy to fish.

4 supplements I didn't see on your list that I use are BCAA (daily), Glutamine (when I know I've been overdoing it), B complex(daily) and Korean Red Ginseng (daily, new for me from Mens Health article).

Thanks

I can't believe no one else has posted here. As an avid follower of the FitCast, I am saddened to hear that our leader has fallen on such bad times. I wish you well, and would love to help in any way possible.

This week's FitCast was great (missing Leigh, though); can't wait for the next one!

bought this program and it looks fantastic. Can't wait to start it.

One thing I noticed was that the topics below from the ad were not discussed in the e-book. Or I over looked them.

•Find out which "power foods" actually generate muscle and when is the best time to eat them

•Identify and eliminate the Kryptonite foods that rob you of your strength and progress so that you maintain your killer physique for good...and not just a few weeks

The Super Hero Workout sounds awesome. My performance and strength is getting better as I train harder but I never seem to be able to get that great body I want. Don't know if the wife will let me splash the cash right now, though :(

I enjoyed John's rant about supplements. I've started drinking protein shakes because it's really hard for me to get enough protein in to my body in a day. It also tastes great and it's pretty cheap.

Good article. On the delaying present gratification stuff, you might want to look at the book "The Time Paradox" by Philip Zimbardo and John Boyd. It's a great study on past, present, future orientations mixed with negative and positive perspectives. Good authors@google talk by Zimbardo on youtube that skims the book ideas well. Think there was a RSA Animate youtube on the book as well.

You mention that floor scap slides..I traditionally did the scap slides on the floor while doing a doorway hamstring stretch but then moved to standing scap slides...for no good reason really. What is Sue's basis for the floor slides vs. standing? The floor slides always felt better and I seemed to get better range of motion with them. Thanks Kevin.
