Three People in the Fitness World I Love to Follow

As we come towards the end of 2012 I wanted to put together a quick blog about about the three people in the fitness world that I love to follow the most. Yes, lists are kind of lazy, but I want to continue to bring you guys content on a regular basis.

1. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

If you like to lift and push yourself hard in the gym, you won’t find a better Twitter companion than The Rock. The level of dedication he has to his craft of being the #1 action star in the world is unbelievable. He is easily the hardest working actor in Hollywood right now. Just look at what he has coming out in 2013 (according to IMDB)

  • Snitch
  • G.I Joe Retaliation
  • Empire State
  • Pain and Gain
  • Fast and Furious 6

And while filming all these movies in 2012, he has gotten into ridiculous shape. I mean the dude is build like a brick shithouse now.

Back to why you should follow him, he is hands down the most real motivational guys out there. Not one of these guys that is faking it, trying to be positive and motivational, The Rock is pure charisma and goal driven. Very few days go by where he isn’t posting pictures of his bass to the walls training sessions or the epic cheat days he has after 150 days of clean eating, which will even give the biggest eaters out there cold sweats.

One of my goals for 2013 (which I will be posting on January 1) is to meet The Rock and shake his hand. The man is a true inspiration and quite possibility the greatest entertainer of my lifetime.

2. Tom Venuto

If you have been listening to the FitCast for the last few years, you know Tom Venuto. Natural Bodybuilder, transformer of bodies (not the Optimus Prime type) and author of, “Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle.” One think that can not be downplayed is the whole, “Natural” aspect of Tom’s information. It is all based of research and what he has had success with training regular people.

Tom is very active on twitter posting about the latest research, inspirational quotes, and random thoughts he has on fat loss, training, and programming.

Every few months I get the itch to get Tom back on the show because I could talk to the guy forever about client’s mindset, goal setting, intrinsic motivation, and the list goes on.

3. Brad Pilon

Like Tom, Brad Pilon brings it on Twitter bringing up discussions on that latest trends and research in the fitness and nutrition world. Also as fasting continues to become more and more popular, Brad has refined his original Eat Stop Eat system utilizing the latest research.

Brad does have some fun as well from posting some of his crazier meals to trying to his struggles with broken appliances.

And Brad nails the most important aspect of Twitter, he is constantly interacting and replying to his followers. Answering questions from his followers and asking them questions as well.
