I don't understand why so many people get irate about the 3 pound limit or any of Tracy's methods. Her work outs are creative and I can attest to the fact that they work. If you want to lift more than 3 lbs, go ahead! Anyone would benefit, it's exercise. Why all the hate?

Ok,
I'd like to give my two cents, I get that Tracy Anderson has had some issues re honesty, paying her debts and being honest. You actually get a whiff of that when you write to her company or call the studio for information, there's chaos, the employees sound terrified and hesitant.. you pick up that there is a problem. But here's the thing her workout actually works, I've been doing it for 5 weeks and I've lost a few inches around my waist, thighs and my belly is getting flatter. As to the diet, well there is a whole school of thought and nutrition that advocates calorie reduction lifestyle... it works, we live longer and are healthier if we eat less. I admire GP and Lady Mag mainly because they have great bodies, and are successful.
When I ordered the videos back in February, I sent an email asking if the dvds "perfect design" were matwork, cardio or what as they're expensive and there's no info in the product description area on amazon. Well no one ever wrote back, when I got through to the studio and the 800 # I got hesitant confused employees who sounded scared.
I am overweight, 43 and have tried gone to gyms, done yoga, ran, walked nothing stuck...this works, I get to do it at home, then I power walk for 1 hr, I've cut out carbs, and I'm working out 3 x per wk, Tracy A vid, 1 hr power walk, and I've lost inches and 12.5 lbs.
This is huge for me as its not hard, and I can do it and I'm seeing results. TA is cringe worthy, but her stuff works.
A conflicted quasi fan Dea :) (ps I live in a tiny village in southern Italy so its hard to have access to any cool stuff here my dvd player is my life here.) blessings to all xo

This pisses me off. I really want to train Gwyneth and show her what a real workout consist of. Shorter, harder and plenty weights. Weight training makes you smaller, firmer and toner. That, what's her name, needs to be kicked to the curb NOW. Weenie weights are a HUGE waste of time.

I am a certified Body Pump instructor and I've been strength training for YEARS (5-6 maybe?) The more weight I lift and the more lean muscle mass I build, the smaller I get! Big weights does NOT equal bulk! This is just plain WRONG WRONG WRONG. Shame on Tracy Anderson, Gwyneth Paltrow and Oprah for promoting the idea that women should not do REAL strength training.

People finally see that Oprah lives in lala land. She will believe anything. Have you heard her rant about Denmark? I lift 50 pound bags of horse feed every week for 15 horses. I am up to one in each arm....take that Gwyneth!

Did anyone catch the part where she said she carries her 30lbs son in one arm and it "sags" less than the other? Funny, using a little weight will do that to you but you insist on doing stupid ass arm circles or some shit with little 3lbs weights. What a bunch of crap.

Obviously this woman is full of crap with the whole 3 lb weight thing, and her suggestion that you should avoid spices and ALL fat. Those are just dangerous recommendations. But leave Oprah alone. She just interviewed Gwenyth. She does more good than most people do in the world.
